Innovative Discovery Series – Creating a Graphical Logic Model

Creating a Graphical Logic Model will introduce the basic concepts of the logic modeling process and define the elements that comprise a logic model. Participants will be taken through the process of creating a graphical logic model for a project, including identifying project goals and key strategies and brainstorming the theory of change that links strategies to goals. Uses of a logic model, such as its value as a communication tool, an aid in project design, and a foundation for project evaluation, will be discussed, as will methods for embedding evaluation into a project’s logic model, including identifying indicators. A web-based logic modeling program will be demonstrated, and examples of logic models and theories of change will be provided. Participants are encouraged to create a free Lucidchart account (www.lucidchart.com) prior to the session if they would like work within the software during the demonstration.
