Congratulations to Octavia “Penny” Dryden!
Octavia “Penny” Dryden, Executive Director of Community Housing & Empowerment Connections and member of the DE-CTR ACCEL Program’s Community Advisory Council has been awarded a grant in the amount $357,852 to engage community residents in the development of an air monitoring network that achieves community priorities while supporting research, public policy and improved health outcomes in New Castle County.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) selected 132 projects across 37 states for the ARP Enhanced Air Quality Monitoring Competitive Grant. These projects will conduct ambient air monitoring of pollutants in communities with environmental and health outcome disparities stemming from pollution and the COVID-19 pandemic.
